Judi Tembak is a famous local or on the offshore Asian Yacht
Race. She is the subject of a new book written by John Taylor and Roger Lapidus
titled Judi Tembak: An Unforgettable Yacht Race.
The book tells the story of the race, covering more than three
hundred pages and written in first person narrative that helps tell the story
in a different way each time. It is also funny and entertaining and gives us an
inside look at the people involved in the race. I really enjoyed this book and
wish that I had read it when I was young.
The first part of the book takes us into the personal lives of
Tembak and her crew as well as others in the race, but I found the chapters
where Tembak explains her rules for the race to be very interesting. Although I
don't understand why she has rules for the race, which is set at the start of
the race, I certainly got the gist of it and liked the idea. The race is a
competition and there has to be a winner.
Tembak explains the main rules, which for me was the money, as
well as what will not be tolerated from the crew and what will be allowed. Some
of the things she doesn't like included someone on board talking about what
will happen in the race and doing other random stuff. There were a lot of other
things that were discussed, but most of the conversations were in private
between the crew. I understand why judi tembak ikan uang asli has rules on how the race should be
played, because she knows that if everyone knew all the tricks before the race
started, there wouldn't be any surprises after it was over.
One whole chapter was dedicated to the crew's preparation, which
can be hard to read, because there were so many amusing anecdotes about the
crew members as well as some very important lessons on the importance of
preparation. I really enjoyed the book and will likely buy it again.
The good part about Tembak's book is that she can share what she
knows and learn from her own experiences in her book, and you can do that by
watching her videos on the TBM forum. As a sailing fan, who grew up on her
stories and love of the water, I was very excited to hear how she does it.
The problem with her story is that some of her comments about
yachting and its rules seem very outdated and a little silly. She states in one
of her videos that if she could go back in time, she would cut off the start and
finish line at the head of the tube. In the race and in life, we don't always
get what we want, so maybe the start and finish line should have been removed.
At the end of the day, it is a good thing that Tembak wrote this
book, because she is an inspiring woman and I hope she can inspire others with
it. This book shows that she does take care of herself, and that is a great
thing to see in a person who is taking care of herself and competing at the
highest level of the race.
